Who IS He?

“Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood/overcome it.”
John 1:3-5 (NIV)

Jesus made ALL things! I find this truth to be beyond comprehension. Amazing! The most brilliant, powerful man ever to have lived.

In Jesus is Life. Life means real Life, real living, being really and fully alive to all that matters. Are you fully alive? Jesus was and he offers us this life too. It’s where joy is found.

Jesus is light. Have you ever wondered how to battle with the darkness (the forces of evil)! The answer is to head straight toward the light. Jesus dispels the darkness. Darkness neither understands, nor comprehends the light/Jesus, nor can it put the light out. The light/Jesus has the power. The darkness, however, does have power when the light is not pursued. Wise men and woman, take heed.

Prayer

“When I am experiencing darkness, I will not fight the darkness, I will seek the light. When I wonder if my life matters I will remember that the “all things” which you created includes me. When the “juice I once had" drains out of me, I will not seek quick fixes, I will seek Life found in You. Amen”

Remember to read and give away your More Than a Carpenter book which you can get free in the lobby. If you give away six, two people on average will come to Christ. Here’s a video explaining it!

  1. We live in darkness and pay in blood that is not our own. Praise Jesus!

The worst kind of darkness is that which claims to be the light. For this kind of darkness checkout the Tony Perkins ipledge Sunday posted on the CLC family news. Mr. Perkins doesn't need Jesus because he values "faith, family and freedom." Idolatry often comes with claims to be Christ follower. What would Jesus say?
