On 9/13 we begin BELIEVE.

Grounded in Scripture, Believe is a spiritual growth experience that will help each of think, act, and be more like Jesus. This 30 week experience with the Bible, with Faith, and with Actions will anchor every one of us in 30 big ideas found in the Bible:

10 Key Beliefs of the Christian Faith
10 Key Practices of a Jesus-follower
10 Key Virtues of a Person Who is Becoming More Like Jesus

This entire experience, preached on Sundays by your team of pastors and taught in CLC’s Outbreak youth ministry and KidZone will bring our entire church family together on a journey that will cause us to

            THINK             What do I believe?
            ACT
What should I do?
            BE                   Who am I becoming?

What should I do to prepare for my and my family’s journey?

1.    Discuss it at home.   Decide that this Fall, Winter, and Spring your personal and family priority will be taking a journey from your head to your heart, so that what you come to believe about God will also be what actually drives your life decisions and your day to day attitudes and actions.

2.    Prioritize Sunday morning worship, KidZone and Thursday night Outbreak for teens.

3.    Pray the daily prayer in preparation for 9/13

Today is Day 8 of our 40 day of prayer and this is today’s prayer;

            “Pray for our friends and family as we share what we BELIEVE with them”

4.    Purchase the appropriate books for your journey.   Start with yourself and purchase the two displayed below.  They are excellent.  The first is a compilation of carefully selected Bible passages arranged by weekly topic with clarifying introductions to each section.  The second is a wonderful compilation of Randy Frazee’s reflections, teachings, explanations and challenges regarding each of the 30 topics covered in the BELIEVE journey.  These books are for sale in our Lobby on Sundays and at he the church office during the week.
