1 CORINTHIANS 15:10
“But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them - yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.”

As we started a new series yesterday, I want to once again convey that I believe that God has given each of us a story to tell of His greatness within our lives.  Through this series our desire as a church is to encourage and challenge this family to grow in unity and to understand that you have a story to tell and God wants to use our stories to impact the world.

We fully believe that for every person in out church, every number has a name, every name has a story, and every story matters to God.

You might not think you have much of a story to tell, or maybe you do.  But I know that God works through all stories and all situations and brings people into our lives that can benefit from the story of what God has done in us.

The verse from 1 Corinthians 15 (Listed above) has a special meaning for me and my ministry.  It is by His grace that I am what you see today.  It is by His grace and mercy that I have the opportunities that I have today.  It is by his unmerited favor and forgiveness that there is breathe in my lungs and that I have the opportunity to be called a Child of God.  I know that in and of myself there is nothing good in me.  If you see good in me then you see the reflection of Christ because my righteousness is that of filthy rags.

As I lived out my journey of falling away from Christ and eventually returning back to Him, there were several things that I had learned.

1.  God’s Grace Abounds!
2.  God is Faithful even when we are faithless!
3.  Just a little is more than enough in the hands of the Master.
4.  God can use ordinary people to change the world!

I hope that the lessons God has taught me are evident to you as you continue to live out and develop your faith Story.  I encourage you today to spend some time thinking about your story and reflecting on the goodness of God.  We are all products of grace still in the process, and we don’t have to be great because our God is!
